Britain's Beaches.....?

.....Can you tell me your favourite, most picturesque beach? Ideally, I'd like to find one which can be driven right up to - my friend and I want to sit and watch the sunrise over the sand and sea, from our car one morning. We do mad things like that!

Best Beach I know of around the South East areas are...

West Whittering
Selsey White Sands
Littlehampton
Rustington
Lancing
Pevensey Flats
Rye
Camber Sands
Margate

Most you can park close to and get a good view of the Beach from the Car and all are nice and sandy and have good local amenities.

Have a good time.

You'll want a beach on the east coast, so it rises up out of the water... Southwold, Suffolk perhaps? Just stay the heck out of Lowestoft and you'll be fine...

Aldeborough, Suffolk is a good one.
Plus the sea's warm if you feel like a swim.
After that, you can settle down to the best fish and chips in Britain.

Bournemouth or Poole where you can sit at Sandbanks (£1 million+ houses there) and watch the sunset over the yachts.

Yeah Barmouth is lovely!no chavs! Cornwall is also as good the beaches are very clean , i was born on the isle of Wight (south) and it is lovely can drive to a beach the other side of the island in 30mins i would reccommend them all , have fun : ( am jealous now : (

If you fancy travelling a bit, here's a couple. Not for the sunrise, sadly, except the twelve miles of Balmedie Beach outside Aberdeen. That's pretty good.
So, west Highlands. Sunset territory. Beaches in Arisaig by Fort William are often shell sand, and are pure white as a consequence. Gruinard Bay near Ullapool has at least three beaches that are sand and one in particular is 'park the car, walk across the road, hit the beach.'

Lytham St Annes has lovely sunsets and sunrises if you live here there

It's got to be Beaches in Wales,

funky munky is back
Whitby, it's amasing. You can park right at the top of West cliffe and watch the sun set, and rise.
