Of course they can

The best thing for any Child is to open themselves up to travel and cultures, especially in an age of racism and bigotry, let her go and enjoy the peace

Beautiful Snowwhite
YES , She can surely go ..

I've never gone aboard on a holiday and especially on my own... but i guess there two ways to look at it... one , if you trust them enough to be going on their own? the other one is that its a way of letting them go and learning things on their own pace. I guess it would be a great experience for both you and your daughter. This will sure to make the bond between the both of you grow. Thats my point of view :)

of course you can!.

Nothing to stop them legally. Trust your instincts though, if there are more silly ones than sensible then it will be a recipe for disaster. The more of them that go, the more likely there are to be problems/rows so try to persuade her that fewer is better (4 or 6-no odd numbers)

guru
Do you trust her? Has she ever broken your trust? Are her friends people who you like?

In australia they have to have both parents permission to obtain a passport and permission from the parents to travel without 1 or the other parent being present I am going OS with 15yr old son and Hubby just had to sign box on passport application We are traveling with a group of 15-19yr olds to play basketball

A better question is, should you let her? And the answer is, no.

Yes, it is well within her rights to board a plane without an adult.

Scotty
No at least 18. Sorry Bad luck. Just wait another year.

Roxy
I travelled on my own to Germany when I was 16, so yes your daughter can travel abroad. Just make sure she has a current passport.

IF you trust her and think she is "adult" enough to control her hormones and not do anything you did at 17 she should be fine. If I had a daughter I wouldn't let her travel somewhere far away without an adult you can trust. Atleast go with her and stay in a room close to theirs.

From what I understand as soon as your 16th Birthday happens you can travel by air alone.

?
To book the holiday you must be over 18, but she can fly alone from 16. I went to New York with my boyfriend at 17. More to the point though....Is she mature enough to go abroad alone?? It's a scary world out there. If my dad had a choice i wouldn' have been allowed to go at 17

of course i went on my first holiday withouth any parents when i was 17 went to faliraki, i hope she isnt going there its a dive. Went to Ibiza the two following years and had the best time of my life. Not all girls are naughty. Let her go and have fun she will love being away with friends
