And if so, how much would it cost roughly?
Additional Details

You can do the trip in a taxi. Get a quote from a local company and they will probably ask for the money up front as there will be comfort stops on the way where you could do a runner.

you can, and the cost would depend on where you were leaving from, if you live in say, Devon it would be really expensive, probably cheaper to fly!

London to Glasgow at least £450. Carlisle to Dumfries £45.

Stansted to Paisley, by plane £25.
Liverpool to Edinburgh by plane £15.

Why use a taxi?

nic nac

Yes, if you can find a cabby who'll do it
How much depends where you start from.

sosgez
Not too much if you start from Berwick on tweed.
Quite a lot if you start from Penzance.

Ok, so from Norwich, to WHERE in Scotland. Its quite a big place you know. And are you coming straight back?

You could fly much cheaper, assuming theres an airport near your destination.

Taxi drivers can and often do this kind of trip, but you might have to pay them up front.

Are you by any chance going from the Norwich Sanctuary for Terminally Stupid People to the Thurso Outreach Centre for Hopeless Nutjobs ?

Taxies usally only stay in a certin area, you could take several taxies. I know for sure that buses will.

Heres a A directory of Taxi services in Scotland

karen b
depends where you're going to scotland from!!

The old man
Yes you can go to Scotland by taxi but I can assure you it would be cheaper by plane or even a train.

CLIVE H
About the cost I'm not sure. There was a case a few years ago when a passenger was sent by taxi from [I think] Kings Cross here in London to Glasgow. The reason I think this happened is because the railway company had failed to get this passenger a seat when it had been reserved. Something like that.

Try the link below - they will be able to advise you about taking a London black cab all the way to Glasgow - why not?

Where the sh*t on this earth are you?

Cari
Technically you could, but it depends if the taxi would want to take you that far! I live in North London, and taxis don't even like to take me home from the centre of London!

Cotton headed ninny muggins
you can if you can find a taxi driver willing to take you - the cost would depend on where you were getting the taxi from! But it would be lots and lots!

Kimmi
Well if you're going 300 miles then it's going to cost you around £250 and if you're going 500 miles then it's going to cost you about £475.

please cna you give me more datial i.e where from and to, the place of your city and scotlands city, then i can help you, thanx xxx

Maria B
Of course you can. But I suggest you walk and take my dogs with you to give them some excersise !!!! At no cost to you as I will pay for their food.

Jock
Yes & it would cost you an arm and a leg. Better going by Megabus or Easyjet or some other method.

daisy-007

depends where you live but yeah you can do it

nogolow
It will be cheaper to fly or go by train.

You don't say which part of Scotland but its unlikely a taxi would cost much less than £1,000, as the driver will have to return all the way to Norwich . Assuming you're going to Edinburgh you can catch a train from Norwich and change at Peterborough; advance purchase fares are the cheapest; go to the ticket office at Norwich Station.

A taxi driver might agree to drive you from Norwich to Scotland - but it will cost you "an arm and a leg"!!!
Recently heard of someone who tried that and ran like hell from the taxi without paying!!

beth
It would probably be cheaper to fly first class from Norwich to Scotland than to get a taxi!

I once got a taxi from London to Sheffield and it cost £400!! Luckly I didnt have to pay for it!

littleavongirl2008
Ummmmm.......from where? To Scotland from where? Scotland is across the ocean from the U.S.

Matty
where do you live, i know they say its a small world - but its not that small a world!

Jackie
My dear friend, Not from St Louis, Missouri. YOU'LL need a boat. GOD Bless you.

Crystal
I think the train would be better...then when you reach Scotland, you can get a taxi to go where you want it to go. A taxi the whole way, no matter where you are is really expensive.
