any harvester, they've got highchairs and other familys go so if he/she has a paddy your not the only one. i've taken my at the time 18month old there. nice food to. all round the country so they'll be one near. dont listen to some of these answers some people clearly dont have kids and shouldn't be answering your question, why shouldn't you take them to a resteraunt, people without kids dont own them, you need a life to. by the way harvester has a great salad cart which you can go to as soon as you order so little one can munch while you wait for the main. good luck, have a nice time.

any 'Harvestor' restaurants around there?

a Wetherspoons family pub/restaurant allows children until 8pm

Side note to:EMAILSKIP

a responsible parent is one who teaches a child that manners have to be used when out in public, its called socailising your child to grow with manners, obviously you just have a house full of cats, cant WAIT till you have kids, talk about slate someone juts for asking whats SUITABLE for a toddler, moron..
we were ALL little once, i bet you were a perfect little angel no?

I don't know that area but where I live in Wales, we have a chain called The Hungry Horse. The price of food is great and they have a large indoor softplay area (in a non-smoking area). My kids love going there.

The Brewster chain are also child friendly, but the food is limited.

Have a look in the yellow pages, they should be able to help further.

Ignore people who have said not to take a 2 year old to a restaurant - they are clueless people. Are you supposed to lock yourselves indoors like a leper because you have children? We were all young once, just remember that!!!!

Good luck & have fun :-)

child friendly restaurant
Gilpin Bridge Inn; near Kendal

mind you, most restaurants should be fine, and probly nicer than the marketed 'for kids' ones

If your child is well behaved, any restaurant is fine. However, if he is undisciplined and out of control any restaurant that has lots of kids and lots of noise would be much better. This would limit you to the usual mcdonald type or sizzler outlets or a pub which now days caters for families too in their lounge area, by providing play areas for the kids as young as yours and creative meals for the littlies.

Giz a chance Dan.......what area? Narrow it down a bit, pal.

Oh....you just did. Sorry.

I can't recommend anywhere specific in Kendal, but many of the country pubs are very family-friendly. Lovely part of the country.....hope you have a good time.

The Harvester restaurant chain is great for family meals and caters for most tastes. They will also supply pictures and crayons to keep the kids occupied whilst the food is being prepared. Not sure if there is one in your area thou I'm afraid?

A place that caters to young Children,,,,McDonalds, Chunky Cheese. DO NOT take them to an adult, fancy, quite, romantic place and expect them to enjoy it or to let other guests enjoy it. Screaming kids or kids running around don't cut it. Be a responsible parent.

NEVER take a 2 year old into any restaurant, just annoys the crap out of anyone who doesn't have kids trying to eat in peace
