there are no cool places in blackpool i think that the word "blackpool" translates to "tacky" in some other language lol

I lived in Blackpool for most of my life and you will spend more in a week than if you go abroad, the pleasure beach this year is £29 for a wrist band(Alton Towers is cheaper) the tower is pretty naff and the Sea Life centre again is expensive and it will take you all of an hour to do the whole thing. The zoo is O.K it is a half a day job.Apart from that there are the pubs(that you have to pay to go in) and the overrated clubs full of 10 year olds. All in all expensive rubbish!

Seriously, there is nothing cool about Blackpool. I grew up nearby and I think it's the most godforsaken place. Honestly, I'm not being rude for the sake of it, it really is not pleasant.
It's only saving grace is a couple of miles out of town called Lytham St Annes (actually two towns joinded together). Go there instead - St Annes has a nice beach and nice bars and pubs.

the tower

Go up the tower and see if you can walk across the glass floor panel. I couldn't!!! What a wimp!

Walk along the beach eating fish and chips!! Have a horse drawn carriage ride!! I went there for my honeymoon last year (having a proper holiday this year to make up for it though) so the place holds some good memories for me.

Don't go in the hoopla stall - it is a right con!! As is the place that sell cut price tellies and videos on the seafront!

Have a great time!

Perhaps you misundertand the whole point of Blackpool - it is not supposed to be cool, and therefore there are no cool places to visit. Blackpool was cool for about three hours a few months ago when Radiohead played the Empire ballroom, but that was merely a blip....

The Pleasure Beach, of course. Walking up and down the seafront is pretty 'bracing', but watch out for the trams.
