No - it's not allowed. Just think - if they did allow it, half the car parks would be filled up with the UK's travelling community every night (with respect)

havanadig
Service stations have started to charge for parking now, after 2 hours,i dont,t know if this will cover pitch charges.

S Csparky
i would ask the manage just say
you have been driving all day and
cant drive any more and you will
be in for breakfast in the morning
worth a go?

Havanadig is correct in saying that after two hours you have to pay. You can buy a permit which will allow you to stay all night but I can't remember how much they are. (I have a caravan too)

Yes, but i think there is a charge.

MICK B
Most allow it some dont. Check with the service station. They will probably charge you for pitching up for the night. A lot of long distance truckers pitch up at service stations The idea of a service station is to let you take a break from motoring for safety as much as anything. They cant make you push on if you are exhausted

Not sure but if stopped you should just say - surely it is better me staying here than driving?

because thats true...

Most places include in the small print that you're not allowed to and you could end up with a fine - they want your money in their overpriced, sub-standard hotels regardless of whether you've a caravan or not!

I've snoozed in my car on occasion at them though, so you could probably get away with it, just dont count on it...

Just park in the back and make sure nobody sees you, you can do anything if people do not know that you are doing it
