Yeah, this is not a problem!! Furthermore, your English seems to be good just by reading your question.
Good luck! |

Hey - just read some of the garbled text-speak you get on here! A lot of native English speakers could do with following your example! |

you'll get a few who will pick you up on your grammar - but most of us will appreciate that you are trying.

Nobody speaks English correctly - we just all speak it differently. If you can communicate what you want to say, don't worry about it. English is a complicated language capable of expressing very subtle concepts. We spend our lives learning it. I've been speaking it for around 60 years, and I'm still learning. |

Your question is comprehensive and rhetorical. You have mastered more command of the language than many of the mobile-phone-text-speaking trogs in here. Respect. |

For the most part no.
We seem to be people that have very little tolerance of others that can't be of benefit to ourselves. |

Over half the people in the United Kingdom can't speak English correctly anyrate - you'll be fine.
There will always be the odd person who tries to be difficult but most of us are very friendly. |

From the above sentence, your English sounds fine. Still, so long as you can get the idea across, then we'll be happy. What we really can't stand is immigrants who come, claim benefits (money from the government), refuse to get a job and then refuse to learn English. What we hate even more are people such as the above who say that their country is better, and they want [for example] Sharia law brought in. |

If you can make your self understood and show you are trying that's good enough for most of us. There will always be the few who wont like it. It's a pity we don't try as hard with other languages. I've travelled a lot and found people are encouraging and helpful if I try their language. When you look in to our history English is made up of many different languages and the original ones are almost gone. Keep going, you are getting there. |

Hello,
(ANS) I think the English are dreadful when it comes to tolerance of languages. Often British tourists go abroad to places like Spain and expect arrogantly that others should always understand them and speak to them in English. Its very arrogant to have this kind of attitude.
**NO! I think most English people are reasonably tolerant of visitors or people who have to come here to work. Its always appreciated if you try to speak the local language.
** if I don't speak English correctly, but at least I'm trying? Thats the point, at least your trying thats all that matters I think.
**Remember the British are spoilt to begin with because English has become an international language, so that means British people DON'T have to try as hard as other people when it comes to languages. British people seem just to expect other to speak English it's very unfortunate.
