you have to be 18 to go into any club and 18to buy any form of alcohol :D

Danielle UK
You have to be 18 to get into clubs here, and also 18 to buy alcohol. Everywhere now asks for ID so don't try it unless you have no shame, what with 100 people standing at the door and that

The legal age to buy alcohol is 18, a lot of clubs are over 21s only

Not legally but some places you could if you look old enough. You have to be 18 legally to buy alcohol but some places require you to be over 21.

You can go to under 18's clubs. But you can't go to adult ones until you're 18 (some even specify 21). You must be 18 to buy or consume alcohol.

lupita_luna20
If you are lucky enough to fool security/bouncers etc then yes. If not the answer is no. saying that there may be some clubs for 16-18 year olds. You need be 18 before you can purchase any form of alchohol.

you can go to certain pubs, mainly ones that serve food but you have to sit in a specific area. you cannot drink alcohol until you are 18 and you can't get int any nightclubs legally.

of course if you had ever been in a club in the UK you would probably see it is filled with lots of underage kids.

Not really.

The legal drinking age is 18, and clubs usually have an 18 or 21 and over door policy too.

Only smaller off licences are likely to take the risk of selling alcohol to anyone they think might be underage - lots of places, major supermarkets etc, enforce an 'if you look under 21 you need ID" rule. incidentally, european national ID cards usually won't work since cashiers etc simply dont know what they look like - take an (eu) driving licence or passport.
Other foreign ID simply won't be recognised. Student cards don't cut it.

You can go clubbing if you go to a complete dive, or if you look quite a bit older. Most places will ID you, sometimes, if they think you look upto mid twenties.
Being pretty, well dressed etc doesn't hurt. Again, the only foreign ID likely to be recognised is an EU driving licence or a passport.

Edit: I forgot you're 16, passport won't help. Just don't get your hopes up too high when you go, prepare to be disappointed.

You have to be 18 to go into night clubs and to buy alcohol ... not that that ever stops underage peeps.

You can if you look old enough, as they do not ask for ID alot of the time (although some places do if you look under 21) if your in the club then you can buy alcohol. But legal age to drink and go to bars is 18.

Nope

Everbody else appears to do then why not you.It is unlikly some clubs will even challengeyour age they are too greedy for the money they make. Also that young girls attract young boys.I sit on the fence on a firm descision to the question all a matter of common sense from you.

Duke75
Yes, I went to a club when I was about 12. You can't buy alcohol until you are 18.

Yes you can, and you can get it off other people there I think.
