Cheap Romantic Day Out?

Its my partners birthday next month, Im only going to have around £125 to spend but we are going out for a meal in the evening with work mates.

I am thinking picnic or day trip but I cant think of anywhere nice to go so that I can surprise him.

Im based in High Wycombe, UK and would be able to bus or train to a destination.

You could stay in and have a romantic dinner by candle light!

buy something cool. make a big home romantic theme, prepare a bath and YOU bathe him/her... pamper... or go to some castle and take some wine and have a picnic... but it deepends on the weather right?

Don't know about the UK, but in the USA there are cool places that can be fun and reasonable. Visiting the Art Museum or just getting together at the park with a homemade meal is just as fun. If you check the local paper usually there are great school BBQ's with entertainment, live bands etc. or cool block parties. Check your local listings. Some of these type of things might be free. Good luck

I was just checking for me and my husband and there some nice offers on last minute.com Check out the musicals they have very good offers like watch Lord of the rings and have dinner at some nice restaurant for 21 quid. and there are some that give you hotel and show and meal deal that would be well within your budget if you can get to london cheaply....

Buy some snacks or make a hand made sandwhich that you both would enjoy. The set up a spot at a park with some candles and make sure it's at night when nobody is around. Bring a battery powered radio and play your song.

This is the best you can do and it's better than anything expensive.

Don't forget the cake.

The beach will be freezing cold in February so avoid that (if in UK!)
What about taking him out to somewhere like Bath? Have a look at the city and the sites and then maybe have lunch?

you must be in RAF if at High Wycombe then. What about taking her shopping to Milton Keynes and treating her? Would be nearer for you to travel.
