I would definite go by train as its cheap and takes you right in the centre of manchester. However National express is even cheaper but takes a little longer

for a start you could walk .ha ha or you could visit www.travelzoo.com for train prices and it depends on where you are coming from you can get cheap flights from many airports ????

LITTLEME
national rail site you can pre order and get tickets cheaper. but you must get that train you are booked on. where are you travelling from it could be cheaper to fly. it was £19 from bristol.

David S
The cheapest way is to book as far in advance as possible.
www.crosscountrytrains.co.uk
or at the ticket office in Norwich Station

definatly megabus, its actually a coach but the fares are alot cheaper than national express or the train, you can only book online, hope this helps

jimgdad
You don;t say from where
walking and cycling from close by,
DO not get a lift from strangers.
Network cards or similar are good value
There are student schemes
Check with local station
Bus may be cheaper.

george_vi

Where from? Give us a clue then maybe you will get some help.

The West Coast Avenger
The cheapest way to get to Manchester is to be in Manchester and go, "I'm here."
