You young uns, you don't know what cold weather is, in my day it felt like it was below freezing from September to May!! With weeks on end of snow and ice and no central heating or double glazing, 3 or more to a bed to keep warm with woolly hats and gloves on!! Eeeeeh you dont know your born!

ingthing2000
No.... Not really!

Heard from a lady in Australia a while back.... where she comes from they have had temps around mid 30'sC for much of the Summer.... local water supplies have dried up and they have to make a 10 mile round trip with plastic tanks to fetch water!

Hey, over here we've had the nearest thing to a traditional winter, that we've had for years!

A bit of snow, or a drop of a few degrees in temperature and everyone starts moaning!

I must say I don't like the wet weather much, but that is for health reasons more than anything!

Why don't we all get a new coat and get on with life?.... Anyhow, where would we all go?

Now where did i put the Brolly?.....

(FRIGHT NIGHT)
I love the british weather.I am staying here for life.

Sebastian
it's hardly the coldest winter of all time, since the record for the coldest winter in the UK is about -27C ... so, it's hardly anything compares to that, what has it been, about -10C at the most where i live.

Man up, it's hardly anything, i dunno what your complaining about. I'd hate to think how you would cope if it got really cold

it aint so cold

Its weather like that which gives us the landscape most of us love so much.

If it rained any less than it does there wouldn't be any bluebells. I personally think its worth it.

This isn't the coldest and wettest winter of all time - it's just a fairly normal winter after a long run of mild and fairly dry ones. Back in the 60s and 70s most winters were like this.

bardolino
This is not the coldest or wettest winter of all time, it is warmer than most winters and not particularly wet. For the last 15 years we have had very warm winters and that has made people expect the very warm winters to continue.

I like the weather we have. Would hate long boring sunny days all the time. Whenever Im on holiday I get bored with the weather in sunny countries. Also its too warm and I cant sleep at night. People in warm countries have never had the pleasure of getting under a warm blanket on a cold winters night. I like the change of seasons and the odd nice day we get in the summer is quite enouph for me thank you.
