God that place is good! I had to have a lie down and a cup of tea after going there... I couldn't handle the excitement!

If you liked it there, try the steam boat museum in Bowness, you'll wet your pants!

It's cool isn't it? The picture of me, when I was around 25, beside the largest pencil in the world takes pride of place on my mantelpiece!

Personally I find it fascinating. Almost as good as the Essex Earwax Exhibition.

Yes either the National Police Vehicle Museum in Cockermouth, Cumbria or the Watch Museum in Prescot Merseyside. There is also a really cheesy old fort in New Brighton which is a flashback to those 1970's attractions your parents dragged you to when you were little. It is incredibly s hit, we love it.

How about this for the Worlds smallest museum in the world.

The Smallest Museum in the World is a fully functioning museum, conceived on the grand scale...

and housed inside a London telephone box. Billed as the only museum providing every visitor a private view, its official opening by the tallest man in Britain attracted TV crews from every continent in the world (bar Antarctica… they got cold feet), including two of the four US networks, and loads of coverage on the BBC. Gordon's Gin sponsored the launch exhibition, on the history of gin, and got gigantic value for money.

Absolutely - go to the toilet museum in Birmingham!!! Had to go there once as part of a geography field trip! (Though I'm now thinking it may have been in Stoke-on-Trent - all those mind numbing field trips have blurred into one!)

Next time down South, give the Hythe to Dymchurch (Kent) narrow gauge railway a visit and do a bit of train spotting from Dungeness on a cold wet windy day. The Anoraks themselves are worth watching - they drool........................

Try any woolen mill in Wales.

Well, if there is, I certainly can't imagine it!

only if you go to Lego Land in Windsor

How about the box factory? Dreamy, all those lids and corners... Or if you're a chav, the Burberry factory. I believe they present you with a pair of burberry boxers/thong when you complete the tour.

SilentRunning
Have a quick couple of 'sharpeners' before you go in. Much more satisfying.

Well, you're in luck, it's about to get even more exciting as my sister is designing the interactive museum stuff and website, so watch out!

Actually it was the Derwent pencil museum she's working for- I can't believe there are 2!! Well, you could have twice as much fun now!
