I have to find the differences between french and english motorway service areas for my French homework but I can't seem to find any sites detailing what they are like. Can anyone help?

WELL THE FRENCH ONES ARE IN FRANCE AND THE ENGLISH ONES.......... WELL YOU WORK IT OUT!

Most of the French ones are much smaller 'cafe' or just 'rest area' stops with vending machines, toilets, and 'picnic' areas, rather than our great big multi shop, multi fast food outlets. The menus in the French ones are very plain, simple and limited. ( a bit like the French people really )

In France driving is left hand and in England right.

If you do a search for SERVICE STATIONS or FRENCH SERVICE STATIONS you get masses of information!

quality wise there is no difference apart from it's french rubbish served in France however on french motorways there are a lot more service areas and in between are basically lay by's but with toilets phones and picnic areas the latest trend is towards developing the old privately owned sites into a type of shop come sandwich/coffee bar but all with vending machines .....hope this helps

The English ones will be on the left, and the French will be on the right. (They drive on other side of road).

French motorway services are cleaner and much cheaper than English ones. They are also a lot safer as the English ones can get like rat runs with all those hoodies and thugs that run around terrorising people in England.

Le cuisine I bet

Angel
Nothing, they are both expensive.

French and German motorway services provide better facilities for showering and washing for those on long overnight journeys and give priority to truck-drivers (long haulage) whereas in the UK its make do or pay mega bucks for the privilege when it comes down to food your better off stopping at a roadside trailer van ie "greasy spoon" for value and fresh cooked grub

jokerman131
french fries in france
chips in uk

anyway do you own homework
