No, however if you are coming to UK from abroad, you may as well carry your passport with you. No one is going to ask to look at it.

Have a great trip to Scotland and say hello to everyone for me.

No, only if you fly and that's just for the airlines security. It's nothing to do with immigration.

Poppy
nope

No, as there are no physical borders such as passport control between England and Scotland. You don't even need I.D :)

Michael B
No, England and Scotland are both part of Great Britain.

No you dont need a passport to travel by car to scotland.

You need one if you travel by air for identification purposes only

No.

Scotland is part of the UK. All you will see is a sign saying "welcome to Scotland".

Amused that you said from London to Scotland. How are you going to get there without driving through the rest of England?

To quote the movie "Stripes"

"We zip in, we pick them up and we zip right out again. We're not going to Moscow. It's Czechoslovakia. It's like going into Wisconsin."

"I got the **** kicked out of me in Wisconsin once. Forget it."

Amokie
Please tell me you aren't being serious?

The only reason passports are required when flying from Scotland to England is purely for identification purposes. Most airlines will accept photographic driving licenses for identifications purposes with domestic flights although I believe this measure was tightened after 9/11 for obvious reasons.

We are all one country. There is no need for a passport for any other method of transportation.
