Peopl,e dont answer questions when you dont know the answer.

You do NOT need a passport for any domestic flights, wither it be Glasgow to London, Glasgow to Jersey or Glasgow to Cardiff etc.

I got off a London to Glasgow flight about an hour ago and I used my Driving Lisance as my fort of photo ID, thats wll you need for domestic air travel, ID with a photograph.

In a word. Noooooooooooo!!!!!!!!.

Do you need a passport when flying from England to Scotland?
Not an April fools' joke, someone came to this blog searching for information on do you need a passport from england to scotland flying:

The answer is no, you don't need a passport for immigration reasons (i.e. you have already presented passport when entering the UK), but your airline may require a valid form of identification, e.g. British Airways states:

We do not require to see a passport or photo identification if you are travelling on purely UK domestic flights* (i.e. with no onwards international flights).

If you are collecting your e-ticket (for a UK domestic flight )at the ticket desk. For this you will need the original form of payment credit card with you.

*If the credit card holder is not travelling and you have an e-ticket bought by someone else, you will need to obtain the email itinerary receipt from the credit card holder, as it is required at check-in. You will need this document AND an acceptable form of identification at the airport.

Acceptable forms of identification are:
UK Driving Licence.
Executive Club membership card.
E-ticket access card.
Passport / National ID card.
Company works card / ID.
Please note: If you are travelling on a route that allows you to print your own boarding pass from home, you will be required to produce photographic ID at the airport.

Please also note: Children under the age of 16 years old do not require identification to travel within the UK.

Source: ba.com: Passports, visas and forms of ID
EasyJet has stricter requirements; asking for a national ID card or passport from all passengers.

Please note I'm not a lawyer. Your mileage may vary.

It would be wise to take one Xp lol

Yes you do. No one is allowed to travel without passports within the UK anymore. In some exceptional circumstances photo ID is enough but i would not risk buying a ticket without one. My cousin just came buy train 4 days ago because her son did not have a passport and they could not get a flight.

No, you do not.

Just like travel within the US, you will need an acceptable form of ID (a passport is one). You do not go through passport control or customs after arriving on a domestic flight.

The airline that booked your travel should have given you that information at the time of booking. If you want to know for certain, call the airline and ask them, they will be able to give you the correct answer.

'Er indoors!!
You do not need a passport, but you will require photographic I.D. A driving licence is usually acceptable, within U.K. flights.
