I am British and I would love to go to Australia! I love the accent, and the weather. I have read some good books by Australians too. (Feeling Sorry For Celia by Jacklyn Moriarty, Ten Things I Hate About Me by Randa Abdel-Fattah)

From what I understand about Australia's climate, I would suggest you wrap up warm!! In the summer, it is usually early- to mid- twenties (celsius). On good days it can go to late twenties, maybe even early thrities. On a colder summer day, it's about eighteen - twenty degrees.

As for the winter, it usually sticks around 1, 2, 3 celsius. But this year we have had a very cold winter. Up to minus six in some places! lots of snow too.

I'm sure you would love England! London is very multicultural, and over here there is good feelings towards Australians. We would love to have you over :)

Love Is Shweet
I love aussies :P
And the aus accents, and they tend to be nice :)

Summer, the highest i think has been 70 degrees or less.
Winter.. as low as -10

:D

I wonder
gets up to 98 in summer and there has always been some what of a turmoil between austrlians and the british due to australia being the place in the old days where the criminals would flee england to go down under

Not at the moment , because you (Australia) have got the Ashes
and we (the "poms")
WANT THEM BACK ! ! !
(& we'll get them back because if you lot play as badly as you did in the recent test matches against South Africa then England will win the Ashes back, no worries.
Especially now that Warnie (Shane Warne) is out of the test side.

PS I'm talking about Cricket

Hi Holly !

Personally I like the Aussie accent - it's those damn Yanks I can't stand ! As for temperatures - even our summers don't get as warm as your winter ! However - I'm sure you'll survive !

Whereabouts are your rellies ?

We don't mind Australians. You're accents are a little annoying, but we watch Neighbours and Home and Away so we're pretty much used to it. I don't think you'll get hostility unless you yourself are a prick.

Our summers can get pretty warm, and our winters are freezing. We don't get as much rain as people say we do though. It just seems like it.

i personally love australians and wanted to move out there to be a midwife a few years back. i love your accents, the men sound hot :o) the only thing that bothers me about aussie are the spiders and snakes, but im sure i could get over that!!

over here, it doesnt get too hot in summer to be honest - most i think about 35 degrees celcius...and our winters (depending on where you go in England) can be pretty cold...today it is 4 degrees celcius!!!

there are so many aussies in London you would not believe it, everyone know someone from Oz over here, there is the usual banter of course between everyone the old Pommy bashing or Convict teasing, but the fact is aussies are very much part of the furniture here.

In all my years in London I have never heard an Aussie referred to as a foreigner, which should go some way to telling you how much they have made themselves at home over here.

if you can pack up your rucksack and come on over.

In London in the summer it may go up to 25-28 degrees in the winter
-2 - 0 degrees is not unusual, they further north you go the colder it will be thoughout the year
is usual at night

England will always be cold compared to australia.

Australian accents are cool,
& sos the people/country.

All the English, Scots and Irish love the Australians. Most of us have been brought up on Neighbours and Home & Away.

Despite them being better at any kind of sport you can think of than us English, I personally have the greatest regard for Australia and all the Aussies I have ever met have been great!

Good on ya!

First "England" is only part of the UK.
Why shouldn't we like anybody from any part of the world.
Temperatures in "summer" min 15'c to max 25'c.
"winter" min 0'c to max 15'c.
