Do people from the UK is mean with foreign people?

I was talking with some american guy who told me British people is mean with tourists, I think that is not true but another lady that i met today told me the same thing that people is rude. I am going to go to the UK but that scared me, because when I go to a different country I first learn about it, and I like a lot the UK for the thing I have heard, seen and study. But if this is true well is a little .disappointing.

I am still going. because I want to see the Big Ben and a lot of other things.

Did I wrote fine?

No we aren't mean with foreign people and it annoys me that an American said that!!!!!!!!! I was on holiday in Mexico a little while ago and I can tell you that every rude person that I met was an American!

London is very busy and if you are there during rush hour people can be a little brusk as they are always in a rush to get home or to work. However, go during the day and you will have so much to see and do. Like visit Big Ben and the London Eye, go round London on an open top bus as well. But enjoy our hospitality and say thanks to everyone that gives you good service - that's something we don't to too well perhaps.

And there is nothing wrong with your writing, much respect for actually learning the language and making an effort.

Have fun when you come here.

I am an American who has been to England twice so far, though I haven't spent any time in London (other than Heathrow lol). I spent my time in the East Midlands both times. Every single person I met was very nice! It was a great change from southern California where I am from..lol! In short, don't believe everything you hear. Go experience it for yourself. :) There were several things I had heard prior to my trips that were just not true. The people were great, the food was great, the countryside....it was all lovely. A great time was had. :) I'm going again in September, and plan to move there in the next year.

You might feel Londoners are rude to tourists but that is just London. People from London have a reputation for being rude or abrubt with anyone even those from elsewhere in Britain ;o)

Don't worry about it and just go, no one is specifically being rude to you, the majority of people are very nice.

yo
MOST BRITS ARE GREAT THE MINORITY SPOIL IT AS IN MANY COUNTRYS. SO WELCOME TO THE UK AND I HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT TIME

There are many kinds of people, good and not good, bad and...., in every country.
I'm very lucky when I went to abroad I always found nice person also in UK.
Many people I met in UK is very nice, kindness and prompt to help travellers.
So, keep walking. Don't feel disappoint, upset before you start to do and go on your plan.

some good ,some bad same as most countries but it is definitely not like thailand and remember it's very expensive everywhere not just in london.
You must visit 'snowdonia national park' and the'lake district' and 'stone henge' near 'salisbury cathedral'

โชคดีครับ

no the british people has a rule are very helpful.its just the new lot who turn up in britian.that are rude with there chip on the shoulder.if you meet a real british in london[not many left]

I recently met an American who was advised in a travel agents over there that we eat chipmunks and squirrels in the UK.

Need I say more?

vsatsanga
You get all kinds of people everywhere. It is better for you not to try to be too friendly with people - nobody likes that....and don't ask too many silly questions! You should be fine if you are a normal person.... dress normal, walk normal, talk normal, etc!

:)
just go
ppl tend to do that so
screw ppls opinions about u, i , and everybbody else
they are not going to stop u from going to a great trip

I have been visiting UK for many years and have not met any
rude people with one exception but this turned out to be
a Turkish person working for a bus company in York.

As arule if you are friendly people will be the same.
