If the price tag says something like "£3 $4.50" (i know that isn'tt right) then the shop has to, by law accept Euros.
certain shops that do this are like - Debenhams and Newlook but many others do as well
:D Hope this helps |

Presume you mean Britain/Uk and not England . Euros are not legal tender - change them in your local Post Office into sterling . |

Nope, just Pound Sterling NOT Euros |

The official currency is the pound, however some establishments might accept euros. Kind of like how Canadian dollars are accepted at a number of US establishments along the Canadian border. It's a bit inconvenient for the establishment accepting the foreign currency, and many just don't want to deal with exchange rates and exchanging the currency at the bank, so they just don't accept it. |

Some places in London and major cities will accept the dreaded E.
But the exchange rate will be cr*p.
Euros' can be used at ports and airports.
If you are planning a visit buy Sterling. |

We use the good old pounds and pence and llong may it continue. Some places throughout the UK will accept the Euro but it is not popular and you will get a poor exchange rate so i would not bother trying. If it aint broke dont fix it, stick with the Pound. |

Like everybody says. Euro are used in a few shops just for ease to the tourist. But GBP is the official currency. Its even hard these days to spend Scottish Pound |
|

:]
 |
no, just pounds.
but some shops in touristy areas will. some big shops do aswell but i wouldnt reccomend this. airports will and so will airlines.
we dont like being part of the eu i dont think. |

No, not really. You might find the occasional place but it's very uncommon. You can, however, change Euro's very easily. |

No. Euros are not generally accepted in the UK, though some larger stores and hotels etc. in tourist areas tend to accept them at a punitive exchange rate.
If you're bringing Euros to the UK, you should change them to pounds ideally before or immediately after you get here. |

They are not supposed to, however, some people do use it "unofficially" |
