No, but if you are flying, you will be required to provide a suitable form of ID - Ask the carrier what they need.

redrobin
no you dont. You just need an i.d. with a photo, e.g. driving licence to show who you are.

If you are flying some airlines require photo id but this could be a passport or a drivers license. You don't need a passport as such to travel.

Hope you have a great time in Glasgow - it's a lovely city.

WHAT?.I'm guessing Cari is American? and needs a geography lesson and I think she/he must of insulted every Scotsman and Welshman around the world, Glasgow is a city in Scotland and Cardiff the capital city of Wales both are countries and not part of England it would be like me saying "oh France is a part of Spain",the three countries make put the united kingdom.

But to answer you question you don't need a passport ot fly within the U.K

You need photographic ID - so either take your driving licence or passport - it is a domestic flight so a driving licence can be used instead of a passport

LISA J
no

suckaslug
Nope, not unless you go outside the uk, you don't even need one to go to Isle of Wight!

cruisingyeti
No "not yet'

American news (TV) has done a few reports mostly on those recent polls noting that people in Scotland are seeking to have a independent country.

Suspect some Yanks actually expect some sort of civil war?

As to Wales; what little of Welsh culture that is left in America
has mostly died off from such as the coal miners who worked in
Colorado. My family if asked denies being "English" at the least we still consider Wales "occupied" by England.

marc
Most people tend to use cars or planes or something, but i suppose if it's got a big enough engine....no. the U.K. is one country. Unless you're talking about a New cardiff or something in America, no.
