Yes because too many people come over here seeking asylum and dont know our rules on insurance and road tax so they go out and get a car then if they have an accident, we the taxpayer end up having to fork out!!! |

I don't think there's too many - I live in central London, and I have also lived in many other large cities like Hong Kong, Bangkok and even Auckland, and they all have far worse traffic than London.
Also, London's public transport system means that you don't need to drive. I *can* drive, but I don't have a car, and neither do most of my friends, because you simply don't need to.
However, there are definitely a disproportionate number of *crap* drivers in the UK. In London especially, there are so many foreign people who may or may not have a licence to drive in their own country, but they certainly act like they are unfamiliar with the road rules in the UK. That said, I would have thought everyone understood what a red light means regardless of national origin, but apparently not. |

We have far to many cars, this is down to the fact that public transport is so expensive, and so unreliable. |

Not too many drivers, just too many idiots and irresponsible morons without tax ,insurance,m.o.t.,s and without the slightest idea of safe and responsible driving. |

Way too many; pollution and congestion have reached catastrophic proportions; most public transport is overcrowded too so without massive investment in that, it would be difficult to absorb more passengers. However, the startling statistic is that half of all car journeys in Britain are under 2 miles, so as a non driver I can unashamedly say to you obese lazy car addicts just walk or cycle the short journeys; the air will be less polluted; you will be healthier
and even on many a walk through a town you'll regain some contact with nature. |

I don't think so but we have a transport authority [nationally and locally] who have done nothing to cater for motorists except create congestion with there ludicrous one way systems speed bumps & limit the amount of time traffic lights are at green etc. and a government who are determined to screw the motorist for every penny they can get |
