Do you have a particular preference when it comes to our country's name?

By which I mean UK, England or Great britain?

Do you mean the United Kingdom of Great Britain (England Wales and Scotland) and Northern Ireland?

Apologies if this is too complicated for your simplistic nationalistic mind.

Great Britain
It bugs me no end that 'United Kingdom' is right at the bottom of the list with all the other tiddly 'United' this and thats. Britain appears on maps at least, a kingdom could be anywhere.

Zoe S
I don't have a preference - it's nice to be able to use them all at different times!

I'm proud to be English because that's my nationality, but I'm also proud to be British because it's quite rare to belong to a group of nations like we do. It also helps when it comes to sport.

at least that's what i have learnt in school....
but answering your question....they are 3 different things....so the only right one to call is England,i supposed...

Well, I was born in England and I still live here. But I'm also British and part of the UK...
If someone asks me my nationality I'll say English first. Because that's where I was born.

The U.K is NOT a country.
England is PART of the U.K. along with Scotland and Wales.
Call the country by it's name, England.

I'm American, but would like to hear it called Great Britain, England would get my alternate vote.

Cat
I prefer England.

Cos then it doesnt include Wales or Scottland.
Not that i have a problem with them.
