I am English and I like it. It has its faults, but I don't think there are too many better places to live.

illadelphiakid - your view of Britain is outdated. We don't "deal" with Ireland any more, as you put it (the future of Northern Ireland is in the hands of its people, and the Republic of Ireland is an independent country), and people born since WWII aren't deferential to the Royal Family like earlier generations.

Darkstar
I don't think you can answer a yes or not for this but there will be good and bad as with most things.... Freeeeeeeeeedom!

This old Yank visited years ago and wouldn't mind doing it again - but you will have to wait: my next overseas journey is to the land of me ancestor - Ireland.

My TARDIS seems to keep landing in that country in different time periods. Fascinating country, England.

Absolutely.

I traveled there last fall from Minnesota and absolutely loved it. I stayed in the Alnwick Castle, went to Bamburgh, the Holy Island of Lindsfarne, and London. I hope to go back someday! <333

Yeah I adore it here. Just imagine, there are whole countries out there without tea and crumpets! Lol take care :]

EDIT: Dear Greenorlagh
POORLY EDUCATED! You must be so poorly educated that you are completly ignorant of the intelligance of a whole country! Honestly that is appaling that you can think like that. What proof to you have We have some of the best world-renowned universities here, soem of the worlds greatest minds are English, I could generalise and say all Americans are inbred rednecks who can't even spell their own bloody name, but I won't because I have manners and do not generalise. I can't say the same for you. Do not be so ghastly it is not polite.

Do you mean, do you like the UK (the United Kingdom)?
England is only the middle bit.
It has many faults for sure (this present Government being the worst present one). But otherwise, compared to many other countries, it is a reasonably stable, safe and secure place to live.
Lousy climate tho, most of the time.

Yes and No, I like England as an ally to the United States, I love the British people, for with out them there really would be no America, but I just don't like the way they deal with Ireland, or the way they still look up to the Queen and the royal family.
