It makes me laugh.
All these answers saying "no I don't like it as it's full of foreigners", it's the miserable Londoners saying that that ruin the place.
It is a sh!thole, but not because it's full of foreigners, they've been there for hundreds of years, wave upon wave of different people from Jews to Bangladeshis to Somali's.
It's pig ignorant Londoners that ruin it. |

I could never work anywhere else - but, funnily enough, can only live somewhere else!
It's a truly fabulous city. Samuel Johnson's famous quote sums it up really: "When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford."
For me, the best part of the city is that little bit of the South Bank riverside just 100 yards or so up from the London Eye before you hit the Charing Cross railway bridge. Best time is when the sun is going down in front of you. It's beautiful. I've whiled many hours away sitting there!
But, as much as I love the city, I would never live in it. You have to escape those crowds, that noise, that traffic at the end of the day. So, I live out in the middle of Kent where I can get a good night's sleep! |

Yes I love it. The walk from Picadilly Circus to Chinatown then through Trafalgar Sqaure on to Waterloo is marvellous and I love doing it. I personally like Green Park, and my favourite thing to do in London is take afternoon tea at the Savoy (quite pricey at £35 a head) |

i love evetything about londons great history, but im afraid the history has stopped now for future generations, its been ruined by foreigners, they live all over london and will do nothing in the way of making history for future generations. |

I love the central part, hate the north of london! crime is getting worse... i'm not scared to walk through my town because i know the people who cause the trouble... well some of them anyway... and this is the only way to be less likely to be hurt... if i was anyone else i probly wouldn't go to the pubs in my town... because of the kids! |

As a born and bred North Londoner, i find myself hating London more as i get older.
There's far too many people, tourists, filthy streets, endless traffic, etc...
But when the sun shines and i've got nothing to do, i'll go for a walk or hop onto a bus and see where it takes me. Every now and then i'll see someone or something or learn a bit of history that'll make me smile and think 'this city is fantastic'.
It's these little moments that keep me here. |

Molly, you don't state whether you like London or not and do you live here or have you visited.
YES i love London.
I am from the North West of England and visited with my grandparents when I was about 12. I recall standing in Trafalgar Square with a pigeon on each arm and one on my head.
It is THE BEST CITY in the world.
It is cleaner than NEW YORK and has more history and tradition. The architecture is second to none with a blend of old and new side by side.
The River is the heart of the place and I travel over it via Waterloo Bridge every day. To see St.Pauls Cathedral, Canary Wharf and Big Ben with the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye every day as I wake up is a dream come true.
'When you are tired of London, you are tired of life.'
Another aspect of the place that I love and value is the mixture of people, cultures, languages and differences.
This is something to be embraced - not rejected.
Eject ALL CRIMINALS/SPONGERS/WRONGDOERS but don't blame people just because they are here.
bye the way i have lived here for over 5 years now and can't see myself living anywhere else in this Country.
i have lived in North London (Highgate) and now in Kent (Bromley) but would love to be able to afford to live in the City itself.
Some people just don't appreciate what they have! |

I could never live in London, but I can't stop going there.
Favourite bits - so many. Hyde Park in the Winter. Kew Gardens at any time of year. Personally, I agree with an earlier reply, it's the view from the South Bank over towards St. Paul's.
Absolute favourite bit - Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. If you have any feeling for the English language, there's nothing better than standing in the pit, listening to to his words, glancing at the sky, drinking it all in. |

One of the world's worst places to live, in every respect.
But fine for a weekend visit. |

Yes I absolutely love the place. I have lived here for 5 years now.
I love it all, from the grubby East End to snotty nosed Mayfair.
For me, the most interesting parts are the really old bits, so anywhere along the river from Westminster Bridge to Bermondsey, north and south of the river. |

it's not that bad very busy compared to other cities like Leeds, but when you compare them London is better. The best parts of London are the outskirts. I've never seen that much nice buildings around some boroughs like Barnet and Kingston upon Thames.
The bad bit is they are quite a lot of people there, you'll get lost if you don't know your way around London, especially if your new to the place. I like London, that and I know my way around it at least. |

London, England is a fabulous city. Stay anywhere around Hyde Park and wear comfortable walking shoes....you can walk miles enjoying the sights and the history.
The Thistle Hotel chain offer a good, inexpensive place to stay.
Visit the pubs, take in a play, tour Kensington Palace, take a hop-on, hop-off bus tour of the city, visit Winston Churchill's War Rooms near Big Ben. Take a boat ride on the Thames (you can even go to Hampton Court Palace by boat).
There are terrific day trips from London to Stonehenge, Stratford, Bath and Blenheim Palace.
Enjoy! |

Not particularly - lived here all my life and it does seem a bit dull now. There are way too many immigrants nowadays, everyone is grumpy and like most of Europe, its a city full of nothing but old architecture i.e. out of date. As far as I'm concerned, no country beats the USA. |

London is busy for me. Too much traffic. Too many tourists. The best bit about London is the A13 coming home. |
