My husband is American and i am British and we like each others accents :) He is from the Midwest and seems to have a quite neutral US accent.
I can't believe some Americans think they don't have an accent at all... everyone in the world speaks with an 'accent' of some kind.. it's kind of arrogant for anyone to think they speak in the 'definitive' way...! |

The US has a ton of different accents & I love when I can detect that someone is not from where I am from... I am a new yorker... and even within NY people have different accents. Some one from Brooklyn sounds so different from someone on long Island - and long Island sounds distinctly different from Upstate... Fugettaboutit! |

I love there accents! I can do all of them as well! My best friend is from Florida, and her dad is from Texas. We always go around pretending to be twins. |

First of all, I find badgerbadger's comment about Tennessee accents funny. As a born-and-raised Tennesseean, I am EMBARASSED by my accent! Surely there are better accents to choose!
I have a few Californian friends, and I like their accents...
Then there's this English accent that I like, but I'm not really sure which region it comes from. South maybe? |

We don't have an accent. Brits have accent. |

I know this!

I prefer the Canadian accent but the best has to be the Canadian/Brazilian accent - it sounds so cool! |

I dont recognize our accents because I live here, but I am find the British accent amusing, but not in a dissrespectful way. |

My favorite is my own personal blend of non-geographic-specific dialect. I've lived in too many places in the US to pick up any particular accent. But I live in Minnesota now. Now THERE'S an accent!! |

I live in Australia and I the US accent actually annoys me.
I don't mean that in a bad way, I get annoyed about some weird things, so don't take it bad.
My favourite accent it the British accent, just because it sounds so 'I know exactly what I'm talking about' and all that jazz. But I like the Australian accent (not that I can hear it) because not many people can mimic it. |

I like more neutral US accents... like the Northwest. I really don't like Southern accents most of the time. Sometimes they're fine, though. The Brooklyn ones are okay, but they get on my nerves too heh heh. I like... the California Surfer accent lol. Hawaiian's have great accents too I think.
For other countries, British accents get on my nerves too lol.
I like Jamaican accents sometimes. Italian ones too. Then I also like Irish accents and Scottish accents... sometimes they're really hard to follow, though. |

I'm afraid US accents don't do much for me at all. If I had to pick some then perhaps those from Tennessee and Louisiana.
But then I'm British. And Scottish is my favourite accent, followed by German.. ;) |
