No. You would do your test, normally, in your instructors car. (your instructor wouldnt come along for the test - just you and the examiner)
You'd pay for the test (to the DVLA) and you would pay the instructor for an hour or however long the test is. |

If you are having paid lessons, you usually use the car you learn in. If you are learning with say a family member then you have to supply the vehicle.
Car rental places usually don't allow provisional licence holders to hire a car. |

Whoever you take your driving lessons with will normally provide a car for your test, providing they have forwarded you for the test (i.e. they think you are ready). |

Your driving school/instructor can supply the car, you don't have to own your own car. |

The driving school will supply you with a car - you will not be expected to use yoour own car, and no it won't cost any more then the price of the lesson/test. |

You don't need to own your own car, it is usual to use the instructors car (for a price). Test centres do not supply cars.
Be prepared for two or three failed tests.
Foreigners tend to be arrogant because they already have passed in their own country and think it will be easy - think again. Most fail. Expect to fail on your first test and you won't be disappointed. Best of luck and hope you break the mould and pass first time. |

If it's like the US, you have to have a car but you don't have to be the owner. |

you'd need to get a car through an instructor rather than the test centre unless you go to a crash course site |

You don't need to own a car. You can take some lessons with the instructor and they have their own car. You have to pay for the lessons though( I pay £21 per hour but the costs varies). When you are having your practical test the test centre will have their own car..Good luck |

no you do not need to own your own car the instructor that you have been taking your driving lessons with will provide their car for the use of their test. but also if you wish to you can do the test in your own car its up to you but i would say it is easier to take the test in your instructors car as you will be used to it. i am not sure how much the test is now as it is a couple of years since i did myn and im sure it has changed a bit. but i think it was about ninety pounds when i did it but that included an hours warm up with my instructor right before the test where he did a practice test which simulates what i was going to do. anyway hope this helps |

You do not need a car to take a driving test in UK because in UK they have one of the biggest car making companies in the world. Therefore the driving test company works with the car making company. Finally the people taking the test don't have to have there own car |
