I am Asian and it seems to me that British accents are clearer to understand; American accents are less formal but also very slant --http://travelerfolio.com

I prefer the British accents because they speak English so well. It doesn't mean that I'm going to start speaking one though like some people. :-)

There are multiple of each depending on which region you live in both countries, but I'd have to say I like 'British' better with the London accent being my favourite.

It depends where in Britain or America the person's from because there is no one BRITISH accent, just as there is no one AMERICAN accent.

HAH!
Well.
I'm Canadian, but get told I sound American a lot.
and living in England, I have to say I like the English Vocabulary better. they have better words for things like the post, post man and post office, where in canada/usa is mail, mailman, post office.
BUT that being said, the American/Canadian accent is better.. because people ennunciate better.
it's not "wot" its "what".. it should be pronounced properly.. like the canadian/us accent pronounce it..
