Don't be put off by these people above or below me, England is a beautiful country, sure we have problems in the town/cities what country does not?
We have beautiful countryside,
Lake District,
Yorkshire Dales,
Peak District,
Cotswold's,
Northumberland,
North Yorkshire Moors,
Warwickshire,
Dorset,
Norfolk,
Suffolk,
New Forest,
Englands Garden, Kent etc,
Beautiful coastlines for walks etc,
Cities,
London,
York,
Strafford,
Bath,
Manchester,
Leeds,
Oxford,
Cambridge to name but a few,
We have History, Culture, Music, Theatres, Nightlife, Shopping, etc.
Come and enjoy what England has to offer, but don't read our daily rags ( newspapers ) they are full of doom & gloom, and like a lot of people on here sadly people fall for it, they need to get out & about more. |

We are the best country in the world, apart from the Government, taxes, crime but hey anybody where ever they live in the world could say that,The weathers not great but you want great weather live in florida!I would look at midland colleges Birmingham,Coventry,Derby Nottingham or welsh colleges. But i'd look at birmingham or coventry they are very central and are great bases to explore the whole country, they are realtively cheap to live in compared to london. |

You should definitely learn about the weather before you commit to living here.
Hint: it rains less the further south you go. But the weather is still pretty rubbish on teh south coast. |

You would need to find a university that meets your requireements and apply, and be accepted. Then you would need to apply for a student visa. You would need to have plenty of money, because living in the U.K is VERY expensive, and tuition is going to be HUGE. If you are allowed to work at all on a student visa, it would be very restricted...as it is in the U.S. for foreign students. If you have never been to England, it would be wise to visit first. Also, would be great if you could talk to other American students who have done this. |

It costs about £12 000 a year i believe if you aren't in the EU. Search for various universities, and they should have decent info online.
I like living in the UK, even if no one else here seems to.

i live in the Liverpool region, and the night life is top, the people are sound, you can be in the city of Liverpool or Manchester. in an hour you can be in the lake district. but you need cash and lots of it to do anything thanks to our government taxing us to death. living is expensive. example it costs £48 to fill the car up about $90. sucks |

Decide where you want to go to College.
Say, Oxford, for example; contact the Oxford Tourist Information centre and ask them for brochures about the area.
You can do this with several places and compare the areas, facilities, etc., to help you make a choice.
The closer you are to London, the more expensive will be your housing and travel costs.
To find the individual Tourist Information centres, just ask Google. Many of them have a good deal of information on line anyway. |
