I like birds. They can be so beautiful and graceful, and funny and clumsy. But illogically I hate pigeons. Not those wonderful peaceful wood pigeons that coo and sit about in my nice back garden, but the dary grey city ones.

I guess it's because when I lived in London the woman downstairs used to keep fancy pigeons and leave lots of food out. All the non-fancy pigeons in the area used to congregate on the rooftops and window ledges ogling the so-called fancy pigeons and trying to get a bit of (ahem) action. The upshot was that there was pigeon crap everywhere and we had to clean the window ledges frequently.

I don't suppose they are any less healthy than any other birds, just a pain in the ****.

They don't bother me, its not their fault their ugly, dirty and carry disease its our human pollution dat made dem dat way! I think its funny the way they strut about anyways...

I have no problem with pigeons. They are like any other bird. As for the big cities that have them in the parks, they have learned to congregate there from all the years of people feeding them. If there are too many (in your opinion), it is not their fault. They are just doing what humans have trained them to do. Gather where easy food can be found.

We have horses and those darn things are bothersome, i use them for target practice along with the squirrels...It was ok when there was 4 of them, they brought there friend, relatives and any other bird who wanted free food....

No! I work in an adventure playground in some woods and we have lots of wood pigeons and they are stunning. Unfortunately due to a reason we can't determine something is killing them. i have picked them up, handled them a lot and have never caught anything so don't believe that they are as dangerous as certain factions make out!

yes,they are vermin.only wild pigeons though.my brother used to have pigeons at his allotments,and they were so tame,and lovely,he won many prizes by racing them.people should stop feeding them in the town centres,that would reduce the amount of rats and wild pigeons.

Not really. They can't carry much more diseases than any other bird surely. I don't mind them and I don't mind rats too much either.

Pigeons are gay, they are nasty and dirty and should die! who knows what they carry. They are just as bad as chavs!!!!!

Pigeons don't last very long around my house, I have various tools! They are winged messengers of death, so I kill them. Unfortunately there is quite the "racing pigeon" crowd around here, so I have to defend my acts of murder on a regular basis. Needless to say, the kids call me "Boo"!

I hate pigeons they are vermin you walk down town and they dont give to hoots if you are there they should be shot down and used as bait as far as im concerned
