The south is full of stuck-up gits who think the sun shines out their a****s. I know this is not a caricature due to a recent visit. The nicest person I met down south was an Indian who hated it and wanted to visit Scotland! Down south everyone sounds the same and they aspire to the same boring things. They hate northerners because they feel superior. It's a FACT, not MYTH. Just because they have more 'wealth' does not make them better. Northerners have better attitudes to life and people in general. |

For the weather I would rather live in the South.
For the people I would rather live in the North.
I was born and grew up in the south (Hampshire/Sussex) but I would never choose to go back there to live. |

North obviously
"In the North-west it rains and it rains. And yet we managed to produce the industrial revolution, trade union movement, the Communist Manifesto and even the goddam computer. Down south, where the sun never sets, you took all our money and what did you produce? Chas and f.cking Dave." - the God that was Tony Wilson. |

South obviously. You can't expect much from a society that eats black pudding can you?
(Only joking the northeners are the salt of the earth and we should all stand shoulder to shoulder as a nation.) |

Stereotypically, those living south of the Watford Gap claim that it is the point where well being, self respect and spirit begin. Northerners respond by claiming that it is the line where humour, humility and humanity end.
Both have their good and bad points, the north has some of the rougher and industrial cities but it also has some spectacular countryside. |

The North. I had a lovely man sat next to me on the bus today and we talked about fish and chips for about 15mins. That's the type of kind, generous, wonderful people we are! You wouldn't get that down south I tell 'ya! |

I'm a northener so I guess I'm biased towards the north LOL.
