heathrow express train gets into london in 15 minutes, so that's your best bet.
cheaper to go on the underground though (will take about 40 mins on the underground)
mainly business people who fly in and out of city airport.
stanstead airport is 45 mins on the train
gatwick is 30 mins on the express, or if you choose the cheaper option will get into kings cross station in 40 mins |

London City Airport, but in terms of getting to it, I think Heathrow is most convenient because it is on the Underground Network. |

London is an international transport hub, with five sizeable airports and a cross-channel rail service. Heathrow is the busiest airport in the world for international traffic; such traffic is also handled at Gatwick, whilst Stansted and Luton cater mostly for low-cost short-haul flights. London City, the smallest and most central airport, is focused on business travellers |

As everyone says, it's London City but if you're coming from overseas you would probably fly into Heathrow or Gatwick. Heathrow's about 30 minutes into the centre by Underground and Gatwick is 30 minutes into Victoria by train. |

London City Airport is the airport closest to the centre of London but it is quite small and only receives domestic and Western European flights. London's largest Airport is Heathrow (LHR) and receives flights from around the world. Gatwick and Stanstead airports (both serving London) also receive international flights.
All these airports are well served by public transport and you'll get into the centre of town in about 45 minutes once you have left the airport itself. The link below gives more details. |

Although London City is closest to the centre, you can't go to so many places from it, so really it's not that useful. Heathrow is easy to get to as it's on the tube. |
