Does it snow in London U.K.?

I was wondering if it snows in London, because I am from Mexico and have only visited London once during summer and it was actually too warm for a European city, so this left me wondering if it gets cold enough in London for snow to occur during the winter months?

yes it does but not often, when it does and create havoc.

Tracker
Yes. When I was growing up in the 1940s it snowed every winter. Not so much now though.

Fecal has got an apt name ! That's what he talks.

Hehe, yep it snows in here. A bit, not much... And all London is paralysed for sometime as we don't really know how to cope with few snowflakes :o)

I'm from Ireland and can tell you that it snows in London. the temperature in London goes below freezing point in the winter and there are certainly warmer cities in Europe . It mainly rains in England but it does get a bit of snow

Yes, rarely. There have been snowfalls of a foot or more, but it is very unusual.

yes it does snow in london,

Snow in London Today!
The snow started falling at 4am GMT this morning (Thursday 8 February 2007) and, as you would expect, is causing travel chaos. Stansted Airport, City Airport, and Luton Airport are all closed this morning while they try to clear the snow from the runways. Gatwick Airport and Heathrow Airport are reporting delays.

If you are spending the day in London, wrap up warm and go and play in the snow! Send in photos of your snowmen!

not very much, a small amount but it never lays for long, although from the amount of 4x4cars in London, you'd think it was snowing all year!!

yes!! wow you just wasted 5 points for asking the dumbest question. you already know that usually cold in a European City so of course it's going to snow when its winter. in the U.S its sometimes really hot in the summer and then in winter it sometimes snows up to like 9ft like in N.Y last winter. and last summer it was so hot that some people died cause of the heat.

ifeellikeimdrowning
No, but it does rain cats and dogs

A little snow in the winter. In the summer the perpetual overcast and misty rain usually keeps the city cool so you must have been there during an unusually warm spell.

Yeh it sometimes does snow but I dont think its seen snow since 2001 or something like that. the southern uk is about 5 degrees warmer than the north of the island, it snows every year in scotland!
