Not only is it safe to drink but it also comes in useful for putting out fires, sailing boats on, flooding areas of the Asian continent, and making pretty pictures for postcards. You can drink it, piss in it, drown in it even hide a submarine in it! Believe it or not there is more water on the earth than earth, so why don't we call the planet water!? It's also full of fish.
you can also eat food |

Yes, drinking water in London is fine. Remember, its not a third world country. Its not like going to Bangladesh or Ethiopia. |

Yes its fine. The whole of the UK has perfect drinking water. You think that in the country with the 4th largest economy in the world you would not be able to drink water out of a tap? |

It is completely safe to drink the tap water in London.
Some one on here said the water in London has been through the human body 6 times so they dont drink it.... Where do they think water comes from? It's all in a system that has been going through people and animals for millions of years! As long as it's purified, like London tap water is, then it's perfectly safe. |

yes, extremely safe. |

Yes it is safe. If it makes you feel more comfortable then buy bottled water, though I have never had any problems with tap water anywhere in the UK. |

yer of course it is! everywhere in England is perfectly safe. They are probably GMT guidlines that say it has to be safe. |

Yes the water is safe to drink. However, the the water can be quite hard if you are drinking straight from the tap, water jugs with filters which can be kept in the fridge help. Also if there is a water softner installed, you should not drink that, there is usually a supply that does not come through the softner (because of the salt content I would think!) Other than that, just go for bottled water, but I think it is an uncessary expense! |

yes absolutly 100% i drink it daily someone else asked me this about a month ago i dont know if there a rumour going round or something. The DWI (Drinking Water Inspectorate) says yes, all UK tap water is safe to drink. In blind taste tests, most people cannot tell the difference between chilled bottled water and chilled London tap water.
Sometimes London tap water can appear cloudy when you first fill a glass. Don't worry. This is just excess air which disappears in a few minutes.
The DWI recommends you drink the water from the cold tap as the hot tap may contain high levels of copper. |

Very safe as long as you mean the tap water.
All drinking taps must be labelled as Drinking Water any that come from a static tank must be labelled NOT for Drinking. |

Water is safe to drink in London for the visitor but should be filtered or bottled for long stay as it is high in lime content |

Not only is it safe it's better for you than bottled water which is a complete rip off and panders to peoples irrational fears. Tap
water anywhere in the UK is safe to drink. |

Mains tap water is safe.
Anything that's been stored in a tank (eg water from the hot tap), it would be inadvisable to drink. |

I am sure it is, but I have heard that the average glass of water in London has been through the human body at least six times, so when I've been in London I drink bottled, just in case. |

Although safe, try bottled water. Or buy a water filter. |
