You could try the Herald House Hotel or the Murrayfield Hotel. Both are decent places and have very reasonable rates. Follow link for more details of these and other reasonably priced hotels in Edinburgh.

The Premier Travel Inn is good value, very close to the city center and is near to a railway station, a decent pub and the shopping district.
Remember, if you want the best rates, book way in advance!
Hope I've helped,
James. |

The Premiere Travel Inn would be a good place to start, but book in advance.
I've stayed at quite a few hotels in Edinburgh, and would recommend the chain for cleanliness and value for money.

HI there. My mum owns a beautiful guest house near the centre. It's called Kilmaurs Guest House. It has been recently decorated and has a feel of a boutique hotel. It would feel much more personal there than a chain hotel. She looks after her guests, will give you all the info you need and you will get a warm welcome and the breakfast is, in my opinion, the best in Scotland. She has some really good reviews on trip advisor. |
