I am more proud to be English when our football team is doing well. I think the monarchy is a waste of money and space. I think David Beckham is a great ambassador for our country and I think people who emigrate here should be made to live how we live and abide by our rules. On the whole I am proud to be English.

the government is crap
and we had silly laws and stuff
but england is a very beautiful country
there are some very beautiful places to visit
and im proud to be british, could be worse!

I'm forever hearing that people from other countries are laughing at the way our country is so soft... thats why they all want to live here!!!

England is a fine country, lots of friendly folks over there, and their leadership abilities is second to none, and this is a compliment coming from a damn yankee, PM Tony Blair should not believe everything that our leaders tell him, he should do what is best for his voters, and take his own course of action based on the facts as he knows them, not on what he is being told by the yankees.

England signed on with President Bush in the invasion of Iraq, because he is a strong, loyal ally, however, when England was engaged in the war with Argentina, you didn't see any US Naval ships or troops fighting alongside the British, did you? But when we need an ally to go to war with Iraq, we are quick to get England involved, aren't we?

England also has a top notch intelligence unit for their law enforcement, Scotland Yard. I feel it is far better in the quality of work they provide than its counterpart, the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the US.

I am sure that England has many other fine qualities to their credit, and they continue to do this, whether the citizens of England believe this or not. You should be very proud of your country an for what it stands for in world politics.

But, this is only my opinion, and everyone has an opinion, just like everyone has an asshole. I would enjoy discussing world events with anyone who resides in England, Scotland and Ireland, and with anyone in Europe. Anyone interested? Give me a yell.

If you have not got any faith in England....what other country have you got faith in.

what a question , to ask , i really think what you should be doing , is looking at other countrys then England , in your question you do not say as to why you think it is going down he pan , is it because you find England over populated, is it that you are restricted in what you can do or not do , with out breaking the laws of this country , / maybe you might be upset as to the way your country is being ran by the goverment of the day, so your question to me , should of had somekind of a meaning to it , not is it going down the Pan

England, Oh poor England, What have you done. You elected PMs are arguing about your income,Bumbling Boris Johnson is sad because he is not in the same bracket as William Hague, in salary, and yet these selfish PMs have sold this country away, for there own careers, Our boys who died for this country in the WW1--WW2, have died in vain, To be let down by these self centred money grabbing top schools, PMs who's only interest is to feather there own nest.
