If the Irish can have a St Patricks day parade and the scots get a holiday for St Andrews day i see no reason why we in england cannot celebrate St Georges day.After all we have reclaimed our flag from the racists and all of us should be proud of OUR country.

i not being funny but i thought saint Patrick's day was celebrated more in England last year than saint Georges which i think is terrible. however i think we should also have a British day where all of the UK England Scotland and wales and northern Ireland all have a Holiday and we all celebrate it

No. We need a national holiday to celebrate the Union. We lag behind Europe on national holidays, I suggest a holiday sometime between September to November.
