I have been all over the world, seen some wonderfull places and had some great experiences, but each time I came back to England I was stunned by how green it looked, nothing else has ever been a comparison to its beauty.
I live in East Anglia and it has its special places, as does Durham and Somerset.
Just wish we could tow it further south into the sunshine. :-) |

I have no particular place as I live in Scotland so am some what spoilt but there are some beautiful places to visit in the UK...such as the Isles of white Cornwall and most of the coast line of North Wales is stunning.
However, I just love Sea-houses on the Northumberland coast...so many places to visit...Lindisfarne holy Island and the people are so friendly.
For variety and sights it has to be London with Glasgow a very close second place...the architecture is magnificent and the people are so funny and entertaining.
I just love Chester as well...all those footballers wives and those Roman Centurians lol |

Dorset for the beautiful 'Jurassic Coast' Scenery. The South Downs (West Sussex section around Kingley Vale National Nature Reserve - the largest Yew tree forest in Europe) - just so beautiful, The Chiltern Hills (Buckinghamshire) because I love the combination of chalk downland and Beech woods and I have been hiking there for 50 years!!. Marlborough Downs, Wiltshire, particularly Martinsell Hill, Oare Hill and Huish Hill - high, wide and weirdly shaped, these hills just have terrific beauty and bring me peace and serenity.
Mortimer Forest near Ludlow Shropshire (part of the forest is over the border in Herefordshire); a huge elevated forest with extraordinary and beautiful views as far as Wales and the Malvern Hills; you feel you are at the top of the (natural) world here. |

I live in Devon and it's the best place ever. In any direction I can be at the coast in 30 minutes, I'm surrounded by countryside and beautiful green fields. When I'm feeling stressed I head for Exmoor and relax. Devon is a truly beautiful place x |
