I've been to Glasgee lots of times. I saw a drunk stagger down the street, lean against a front door and piss all down it. He then took out his key, unlocked it and went in. They are lovely people. |

glasgow is just as rogh as any other city,
i wos staying at my m8s flat in belgrove, glasgow once and we were just going out nd there were two neds sitting on our doorstep with a serringe full of brown stuff (heroin) but he did nt see us so we went round the other way, nd when we came bak there were blood stains all over the stairs... nasty
but not all ppl from glasgow r like that.. nd theres lots to do there |

Come on...Glasgow is like anywhere else in the world - the roughies have a different time in the day to do their particular business, and in parts far away from tourist areas. Y'know...if people have a need to test the 'hardness' of cities they usually come off worst. Glasgow possesses beauty, like anywhere else -could be you've been watching too much Taggart.
Martina...you're telling lies. My partner is from Belfast, and we've both been to see her mum several times - and she lives just off the Newtownards Road...as a half-breed Catholic I was a wee bit scared in the beginning, but like most other cities, realise they can be heaven if you respect the mores of that particular community. |

To all the nasty remarks above and to come below my
answer, I would like you to know that I was born in Glasgow
and am an above average educated man (even if I say so
myself) and I wish you all well. Cheers, Iain Ritchie. |

I have been to Glasgow many times and have found the people to be very friendly and helpful, unfortunately every town/city has their few who bring the others down. |

I lived in Glasgow for four years and love the city. I come from a very small village and moving to Glasgow was scary at first but you soon get used to it. Glasgow has loads of great shops, restaurants and bars. Yeah, there are a few nutters but that is just like everywhere else in the world. Maybe you should stop forming opinions from scenes of naff films and live a little more. |

Glasgow is exactly like Brigadoon, come and visit us, you'll love it. Oh, and anytime you see Celtic fans greet them with FTP. They'll know what you mean. If you meet Rangers fans stick two fingers up to them. That's a great way to get to know the locals. |

Who cares? Think your hard, go do boxing. I think your taking the p*** and you know Glasgow.
Brigadoon is Gene Kelly farting around in a kilt, then the town disappears into the mist. Its one of the worst films about Scotland.Thats nothing to do with it.Thats the tourist shortbread tin image.
Glasgow is a bright fun city, lovely place just a few rough places like anywhere else. Its fun, and its multicultural. |

I am a Glasweigan through and through, I was born in the east and now live in the south of the city and did most of my socialising in the west, so I think I know the city very well, and like all major cities it has it good and bad, but the good far outweighs the bad, most of us would welcome you into our city and stop and help if you had aproblem unlike some places where people are so wrapped up in themselves they would just walk on by even if all you wanted was some directions glasweigans are always willing to go out of their way to help others
so dont judge a city by what you hear about it, come and visit and judge it from your own perspective you wont be disappointed |
