GARFUNKEL'S !!

Twenty-two years old and still as popular as ever in the hearts of London's residents and tourists alike. This is a classic brand, known for good value, quality of service and great menu choice at all times of the day. Open for old-fashioned English breakfasts and coffee to 3 course meals with wine, Garfunkel's is part of London life, part of its history and is a must for every visitor!

Oxford Street is really not a road with restaurants in it.
There are any number of Burger Kings and Mc Donalds but most of the departmental stores have restaurants.
The whole road is big shops.

DEMON
there was a particularly clean looking bit of pavement by maceys but why you would want to eat on oxford street i dont know?!

There are a couple of Caffe Neros - have their bacon pannini and espresso coffee

You do realise that the vast majority of shops on Oxford Street don't open until 10 am. Personally, I think you should have breakfast before you go out.

soho would be your best bet

Why Oxford St?...way too touristy and pricey. Get to Oxford Circus and go to Noho....thats the roads paralell(is that spelt correctly?) to Oxford St north of Oxford St...as opposed to Soho which is south of Oxford St. There are loads of places between Oxford Circus and Tottenham Court Rd. Soho is also good for breakfast.Mind you it will be so so busy...good luck...rather you than me...and Merry Xmas!

SKA
Subway!

best to head for Noho as someone already mentioned or go to soho towards the south of oxford street (the eastern side of oxford st) AVOID garfunkels, its a tourist joint.

I would check out timeout.com for restaurant listings, there are also a few restaurants to the north of oxford street on both the east side and west side.

There are lots of places to eat up London, but the whole place is probably looming with rats that is why my husband takes his own lunch into work everyday!!!
