In Devon it is awful. We have been rained on for two days, then Thursday the rain hit the house windows like cricket balls, and sloshed down the walls to the ground.I was wakened up around 4am by a `sucking` noise and an almighty crash of falling bricks and glass smashing.At dawn I could see my chimney pot and roof tiles scattered all over the side and back garden. I think it must have been a mini-whirlwind that did the damage, because everywhere else is untouched by storm damage. The mess is un describeable.The weather forecaster this morning, said `to expect more of the same`, I hope not!! |
