best place i've ever been camping - i've been twice now! it's in Gower, South Wales. Really sorry i don't know the name of the exact campsite but its right by the sea so pretty. and small village with pub a 20 min walk away. would recommend!

Kent is nice, I know someone who lives on the Kent coast and it is great there. Also think about Beachy Head, great views from the cliffs there.

Not near the seaside but near plenty of lochs where you can enjoy water sports and the beautiful scenery.

Though if it's only for the week-end it may be a bit too far, but for future reference you will find no better place to stay than Granton-on-Spey caravan and camping and tourers park.

For cleanliness and accessibility ***** 5 stars from me.

There are so many places to visit: Aviemore, Cairngorms, The whisky trail; the list is endless and far too many to mention. Go to www.visitscotland.co.uk & www.discoverscotland.net for further information.

The one downside could be the weather, though for me even when it is dreek and lousy the scenery makes up for the lack of sunshine, but that's not to say that the sun doesn't shine in fact Aviemore and the surrounding area does enjoy some of the best weather in Scotland.

Where ever you decide to go this time round I can recommend Scotland at some point in your life.

Best campsite by far that Ive been to with a group for a laugh is "Shell Island". No other people can can within 20 yards of you.
Room to get up to whatever you like. http://www.shellisland.co.uk/

Its also in the cool camping guide.

Hay on Wye is good if you like books and drinking
Whitby is good for drinking and goth fun
Dont go to "the quiet site"in Pooley Bridge-run by a bunch of miserable fun hating b astars-they threw us off
Theres a campsite a bit south of Edinburgh thats well equipped, lots of cctv though, and they scowl at you in the morning

Blackpool if you want good raucous nightlife!! There's a campsite called Cala Gran Holiday Park, in Fleetwood north of Blackpool.

Go to either Treyarnon or Trevarion (i think i've spelled them correctly!) in and around Newquay. I think one is in Porth and the other is in Watergate bay. Both are an easy bus journey (own minibus services) from Newquay town, which, by the away, is the best place on earth. When your down there visit the Bedruthan Steps, they are amazing and were used for some scenes in Walking with Dinosaurs. Well worth a visit with with a BBQ, so chilled.
Good luck and happy holidaying!

running_zombie
youd like kent i think or bristol, also devon bounemouth are good areas near the south.

The Lake District is a great place to go camping. Make sure they accept parties because some places will only have couples and families.
