We used to live 30 minutes away and would go all the time. Great when we were kids. The Fun park (pleasure beach i think it was called) and the arcades were so much fun.

Not so sure if it would be as enjoyable now being in my mid 20's. But if i ever go back to the UK for a holiday i would take my kids back there for sure.

Yes used to go every year at Christmas and have been to nearly all of the Holiday camps (or holiday villages I think they are called now). Great fun years ago and my daughter went last year and stayed in a caravan and she said it is great for children. Enjoy your stay if you go.x

Yes I ve been there last October with my husband, as we wanted to have no very expensive weekend somewhere outside London. Then we found cheap hotel-that was really nice on the web.site and booked it.
When we actually first came-we got really disappointed as even High St. of Great Yarmouht looked not far way as Bethnal Green market-with nothing special...BUT....))) When our depart. time came then strange things beginning to happened. This creepy town didn't want let us go. At first we had problem with a car, then on way out we went to a shop and after couldn't find easily exit from the car park. People walking in the streets of that city looked miserable also. We both felt like we have been to 1960 time, cinema and everything else old and odd...Then we were just wishing to get out of that strange town...)))

I went, but I didn't like it. It's very FLAT, and rather boring, and prefer my gorgeous Cornwall, any day!!!!!

Gt Yarmouth is rubbishy. Go to Gorleston instead (5 minutes away), clean, lovely, and blue flag beaches.
