agree wholeheartedly with whoever said sunderland - should be next proposed nuclear testing site (not that anyone would notice, least of all the dirty mackems). Stevenage and Cambridge also rubbish.

I am from Manchester and I can assure you that it is not filthy and dirty, don't know what chunky monkey was talking about, she probably only was there for a very short time, all places have grot spots no matter were they travel, so they cannot knock a place till they have spent more time there, also it is not dismal like someone cared to mention, have they ever experienced the lake district or beautiful places like that, like I said don't knock it till you tried it, I I cannot point out any city that I dislike because everywhere has something nice to offer.

Southampton should have its city status rescinded. There aren't any buildings over 20ft and none of the locals can tell you from where to catch a bus to the New Forest.

I would say London, because it sucks in wealth from the rest of the UK via taxes eg.44% of the budget for the arts gose to the smoke!

I once visited Manchester on a shopping trip, it is Filthy and the stores are rubbish. The roads are all one way, I was driving round in circles,(excuse my language). I don't know what the fascination is with it. Once was enough for me,(sorry any Mancunians.)
