if you go to wales go to north n see snowdonia, harlech castle, portmerion(Italian village) prisoner was filmed there its lovely, and in England go n see the London dungeons or buck palace

Where are you starting off from, with only three days its going to make a difference. If you are down south, to go to the lake district would be pushing it. If you are up north the new forest and dartmoor would also be too much travelling time. If your in the middle you could go either way. Whatever you do enjoy it.

Scouse
York a full day, Stratford upon Avon Warwick (castle only.) Rufford Hall 7 miles north of Ormskirk (A59) That will take you three days but you did not give your starting place

tour the Cotswolds villages- beautiful, peaceful and lots to do in the various villages
Braodway, Bourton-on-the-Water, Upper and Lower Slaughters and on and on....

City of York = York Minster (one of the largest churches in Northern Europe), National Railway Museum (world's largest railway museum), ancient defensive wall (among other things).

North Yorkshire Moors (A64 + A169 from York to Whitby) = jaw dropping scenery. Village of Goathland, film location for HOGSMEAD STATION in the Harry Potter movies.
North Yorkshire Moors Railway.... one of the UK's leading preserved steam railways, running through 20miles of jaw dropping scenary.

English Lake District = even more jaw dropping scenary, and famed for it's connections with Beatrix Potter.

Warwick Castle. If you love historical buildings it's one of the best I have seen.

Afallon
Snowdon, the highest point in England and Wales, you can take a narrow guage railway or, if you feel fit you can walk up/down.The views are out of this world.

Well it depends on when you are planning on doing this??

I live in Somerset (bridgwater area) the first friday in November we have our annual carnival! It's amazing and is the largest light festival in the whole of Eroupe!

And also in the last week of September we host a fair commonly known as St Matthew's fair or just Bridgwater fair but it is amazing and is the 2nd biggest fair in Eroupe!

this place also has amazing views so i would highly reccommend it!

The Lake District then across to the North East Coast following Roman Wall, if you have time. Got to go to Seahouses and Lindisfarne, see the castles down that coast like Bambrough.

What are you into?
I'm an ancient history addict myself - so places like Stonehenge & Avebury really make one good day for me.
Caves are good too - there are some really cool gold mines in mid Wales - excellent walking too!
Castles etc. - wow - you have SOO many options there!
Gardens - TOO many to mention.
Have a look online - you'll find too much to do in 3 days!

Sadly - if any of this isn't your thing - I guess I haven't helped at all!!!

Come to wales then go to Caerphilly to see our castle, drop in to cafe refresh for a bacon and mushroom butty, then on to Cardiff see Cardiff bay then the millennium stadium if you are into rugby, then drive up to the brecon beacons, enjoy.
