Have you been on a farm? DId you find it scary ?

Additional Details
Having worked on one some years ago, I know how easy it is to have an accident. Nowadays there are far fewer people on the farm too, making ius less likely you will be discovered, chewed up by some equipment. Also, farmers are under a lot of pressure from shop chains to reduce costs. And finally, anything can be going on, on a farm, just a few miles from the glare of society. I'm with Sherlock Holmes on this - he remarked that he felt a lot safer in the city.

Farm machinery is in no way scary if you know how to use it and how to operate emergency stop mechanisms.

On the other hand, being ripped off by supermarkets is something I feel quite strongly about.

Animals are lovely creatures, why would it be scary.

When I was a child holidays were spent in Ireland on the family farm they had to help out I loved it the only thing that scared me were the Geese I am still scared of them now at 49. Best times for me in my childhood and even now love it only not Geese.

No. They are some of the most peaceful places on Earth.

I've been on many a farm. I LOVE farms. I love the smell and the animals.

I'm also a closet fan of the Holstein Freisian and the John Deere 8530.

My grandmother lived on a farm. I spent every summer there when I was a kid. It was a wonderful experience that made me the man I am today. I can't imagine why anyone would think it would be "scary."

My grandparent used to have a farm.
It has long changed and now we just call it the "Compound", in light of Timothy McVeigh and all the nut cases.

It is kind of desolate, but there is really nothing to be afraid of.
Nobody can spend a night there alone besides me. They all think somebody is out to get them. Somebody will show up with an axe and do them in.

But there is absolutely nothing to be afraid of. No Bears, or crazy psychopaths. Nothing.
Of course, that is Michigan. There is no deadly creatures.

The silence is kind of freaky sometimes. Little noises you tune out seem to be clearly heard. I hate it when some can or something makes that noise.

Yes i went riding a horse,
I loved it.

But it got scary when he looked me in the eyes,
I knew he wanted something in return,

I just looked back at him and said nnnaaaaahhhhhyyyyyyyy
