No I haven't, but I know of several people that have had their pockets picked or their purses snatched in London.
London is like any other big city. You must always be aware of what is going on around you or you may become tempting prey.
I don't think it is a good idea to attack these sickos with a stick. You are unaware of the potential they may have to harm or kill. |

Once. Two miserable bounders approached me asking for my wallet. I advised the snivelling guttersnipes that I had no need to carry such an item. That incited them to launch an attack on me, which I swiftly parried with my opera cane.
I simply cannot abide the crude, unco-ordinated attack of the street urchin, and once I had dispatched them both to the floor, I made my way about my business. |

I've never had any mugging experiences in London. It seems to be a very safe city. I've been living here for a few months and what I've heard from others living in the area has basically confirmed this.
One thing you should watch out for, however, is pickpockets. Again, it's not that bad here- especially compared to places like Barcelona and Rome- but in any crowded metropolitan area frequented by tourists, there are thieves ready to snatch wallets and purses if you give them the chance. |

Once, when I was 14. Coming home from school and three older girls followed me. They saw me on the bus with a phone as they knew where to look when they approached me and I denied having one. After I insulted her she pulled my hair and then they ran off. |

Been mugged a two or three times as a teenager, not since I turned 20, though.
In each case it happened in a bad area in the east end of london and involved two bigger guys against me. Cowards, really.
I've had my wallet taken, my bike taken etc. My brother has had similar experiences.
London is a huge city and it all really depends on where you are, what time you are there and who you are there with.
For the most part you should be absolutely fine as long as you stay out of the few rough areas. |

I went to a premises in Soho when I was 16 years old, and left 20 minutes later minus fifty quid. All I had received was 2 lagers and a flash of some dogs boobs. |

No. If I happen to come across a bunch of yobs or 'rude boys' I pretend they don't even exist. And if someone did try I would scream my lungs out. |

almost. narrowly avoided being mugged 3 times. mind out for rudeboys, albanians, pakistani wannabe ghetto boys, pikeys and chavs and you should be fine. If you dont leave the tourist bits you wont get mugged but youll get robbed by the high prices. |
