I have family in Hull. I do wonder if its a coincidence that Hull is only one letter away from Hell.

I live there. Not so bad - good pubs and shopping - like everywhere good and bad areas. Schools aren't much cop.
People on the whole friendly. It is a city on the up!

Personally. It's ONE of THE worst Cities in England.. It's a Mess. But the Govs. spending Millions fixing it up etc. So in a few years it'll be nice in the middle, and outskirts. But have have "districts" that have been left to rot, and still will be hell!
And whilst that is happening other cities will suffer, until they become the worst places to live.. And then when the Gov. realises that, they'll spend millions fixing that city up. THEN it'll go back to Hull been HELL and the Gov. will just add new clean estates on the ourskirts, and leave the centre to rot. Again.
Haha, it'll always be like this!

You can always tell somebody from Hull as you cant tell them nowt. The best thing that ever came out of Hull is the M62 motorway

I live in Hull atm and it's not too bad. You can get used to it. Saying that, I'm looking forward to the day I can leave again.
I think it really shows that the people here don't have much money. It's not as dangerous as it seems but also nowhere near as nice as I'd like it to be. Genereally the people are quite nice and helpful (as long as you don't diss their beloved Hull). There's some strange local patriotism going on (have I missed something here?) and I think Hull's also affected because it's not on the way to anywhere. You only end up in Hull if you want to get to Hull, and that's not something many people want to do.
What I like about it, is that it's a city, but cheaper than most cities in the UK. And because I don't have much money, it's a good combination.
Also we've got H&M now, so there's nothing else to wish for...
Make the best out of living here. Consider it as a very weird experience to go through and you'll appreciate wherever you'll live next...
If you hate Hull, it'll hate you back.
See you around!
