Wales is a truly beautiful place in many areas. I love the coastline - there is a particular beach I love at a place called Mwnt which is near Cardigan (Ceredigion). The coastline in this area is very dramatic.
There are so many places in Wales to go for walks and to enjoy the outdoors. The only thing I will say, is if you drive along the M4 into Wales, I'm not fond of the Port Talbot area - its very industrial, so steer clear of that!!
As for language, be warned, its incomprehensible - bears no relation to English at all. Most signs will be English and Welsh though. |

I have lived in the Glamorgan Valleys area and loved it as the atmosphere was great - lovely community feeling. also lived in Cardiff and LOVED the place to bits it is gorgeous the nicest city and not too big not too small and so beautiful. Been to North Wales on hol as a kid and loved it but don't know exaclty where we went but anglesey island was fun! Been to a place called Llantwit Major near Cardiff and that is beautiful - on the coast lovely pebbly rocky beach. Generally Wales is beautiful and stunning and if you want to know this info because you are planning to go on holiday then I totally recommend it and think you should contact the Tourist Board and definitely go and you will not regret it! Even if it does rain! |

Wales is a beautiful country, there is so much to see there. Cardiff is a superb capital with so much to do. The people are friendly and you will always be made welcome. I was born and grew up in Cardiff, I now live in Greece and have done for 5 years, but I miss Wales so much, it will always be home. |

I've been to Wales. I love it. I was to Porthcawl, Cardiff, Ogmore, Bridgend, umm... a few other places I can't remember. I lived there for about 6 months of my life. I wanna go back, I love the people and the place. |

I was in the S. of Wales about 12 yrs ago, in the area around Swansea, the Gower etc. and I loved it. I especially enjoyed my trip to Brecon Beacons and the surrounding area. A lovely country, even in the autumn (I was there in October). Friendly people and wonderful views. The food was good too--especially the cakes and sweets! |

The Dolgellau -Barmouth Mawddach trail in Snowdonia National Park, Gwynedd is stunning. You have the dramatic mountains of the Cader Idris Range, the seaside town of Barmouth, the beautiful town of Dolgellau with it's rivers, the beautiful Arthog Falls, and Cregennan Lakes nearby.
I can't recommend it highly enough! |

I spent 14 years living in Angelsey, i moved there when i was 7 and it was the perfect childhood growing up in the countryside. I lived in a small seaside villiage so we had the best of both worlds, beautiful countryside and a great beach to go to in the summer. Ive always found the people very freindly, although i must admit i wasnt keen on areas such as Rhyl and Llandudno, they were just full of tourists. I always advice people looking for a great family holiday in the UK to go to Wales i think it has something for everyone. |

I found them very ignorant people...and where I was in North Wales there were so many scousers (dont think much of them either!!!!) I thought I was in Liverpool. I think Hadrian got it wrong! he should have built his wall to block out the welsh. Ha! Ha! |
