i have it was a great place to visit loads of interesting things to do. the port is wonderful with loads of interesting ships and boats.the shops are good and the food we had to eat at the pub was hot tasty and very filling we had a great time |

you are asking about gosport side.
good high street of shops down to the ferry across to pompey.
not high street stores but good local ones, good twice weekly market and good pubs. weatherspoons and lord nelson to mention 2. cant remember the one opposite the ferry on the corner but do remember it was good as well.
pompey side go away from the docks and there is a good shopping centre and plenty pubs to visit.
go to gun point retail park on the front for top brand shops seconds outlets
if stuck, then go to southsea and go to isle of wight by hovercraft
all in all a decent place |

Yep, I know Portsmouth very well, I live there.
Its OK, there are better places to go, but there are also some much worse places too.
Gosport, no offence, is a bit of a shitehole. Its not referred to as Gospit for no reason. |

Yes on quite a few occassions...last time was a couple of years ago...we were on a caravan rally at one of the forts on the hill overlooking the town. |
