Major cities I would suggest visiting in England (and Scotland) are
London, Manchester, Liverpool and Edinburgh.
There are also many smaller places that are nice and interesting like, Bath, York and Chester |

There is more to a visit to UK than London.
If you have time, visit English countryside to get a real feel of Britain.
London is a must, but if you are staying for long, then do yourself a favour and visit the following areas:
.
Costwolds for unspoilt, typically English villages and breathtaking scenery
.
Peak District for stunning panoramic views across hills and historic places, lots to see and do.
.
The Lake District, for stunning views of lakes and for one of the most picturesque areas in England.
.
North Wales, near Snowdonia national park, for out-of-this-world views.
.
All the best!! |

London is such a fabulous, cosmopolitan city - there is a wealth of things to do - arts, culture and history. Loads of great places to eat and clubs and bars to go to. Come and visit the capital city of our country - you won't be disappointed!!
Hope you have a fabulous time wherever you choose to go - and welcome to our country! |

I would definitely go to London (obviously as it's the capital and biggest city). It's brilliant for shopping, especially Oxford Street which has a massive Topshop- always fun to look around in. The tubes make travel fast and convenient as they are always coming 2 or 3 mins after each other in the centre. It also has lots of entertainment opportunities, restaurants and places to eat.
The main tourist attractions would be the London Eye, The Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, Harrods (a shop yes but so expensive and luxurious it attracts tourists).
Have fun! |

London is certainly very interesting. As is Edinburgh (although it is in Scotland, not England). |

If you could only go to one London probably has the most to see but Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool are all worth visiting, steer clear of Birmingham it is the biggest dump in the country! |

'Er indoors!!

Take no notice of Matt II , he is a silly little person, and obviously very very ignorant. Birmmingham is a very Beautiful city, and the people are much friendlier than anywhere else in England. |

As above, but see London and leave as fast as possible, it is expensive, dirty, crime ridden and has more than its fair share of homeless and illegal imigrants. The sights of course are a must see, but to stay there after you've seen them is a waste of your money and your lifespan.
As for using the tube, a great many tourists don't realise that they are getting on the tube and going 3 or 4 stops........when in fact it could only be 500 metres round the corner, familiarise yourself with a street map in addition to the tube map. The tube map, as with all such maps in the world is not to scale. |
