Yeah the lake district is awsome, So is scotland so is wales.
If you want to see a historic city try York.
If you want to try the seaside try Hull( Only joking) Try Filey/Bridlington or any place on the east coast.
If you want to see a modern city Try Leeds or Manchester.
These are all in North England but you could also go see the capital London.
It all depends on what you want to get from your experience. |

It depends on if you are a city girl, like history or perhaps to relax in the country.
In the North of England they will be difficult to understand, London has everything but is expensive.
the South of England is more rural.
If you are religeous then there is St Paul's in London and the Cathedral in Canterbury in Kent.
Public transport is not so good in the rural areas but in London there is no problem.
Hope that helps |

Visit the South West - Gloucester, Bath, Bristol, Wells, Taunton, Weston super Mare, Barnstaple, Plymouth, Exeter, Truro.
They are all nice places to visit and the scenery is wonderful. Just make sure you have a thick jumper, wellingtons, umbrella and a waterproof coat handy as it can be cold and west down here.
Just think of the New England area, that is how beautiful it can be. |

There are many rich cultures that make up britain, each creating their own landmarks daily.
In my area of Newcastle there are many beautiful things to see and do.
There's a beautiful subway (pedestrian tunnel) in West Denton with some very imaginative graffiti. There's also a listed monument of burnt out cars in benwell, where the local urchins will only charge you a tab for entry. Other beauty spots include barbendale park, where you can quaff bargain apple champgne with the leaders of tomorrow. Please see link for guide. |

the north east is lovely and not so touristy. there's lots to do in and around newcastle and you're not too far from the coast. it's much more affordable than london and other bigger cities and the people are very friendly. there might be a bit of a language barrier but most of the people there will do their best to help you. i'm sure you'll have a great time wherever you go. enjoy your trip.
disregard that first answer. it's incredible how vulgar some people can be. |

I'd say Brighton down on the south coast but only because I'm biased. The West Country (Cornwall and Devon are very beautiful too) x |

What a strange answer the first one is - summer holidays has got all these silly little children on here.
Scotland for skiing. Blackpool of chessy illuminations. Dublin for christmas. London for a base to visit the other places in UK you fancy (maybe Stratford Upon Avon, Oxford, Cornwall) |

That is a bit harsh calling her a whore .... though saddened to hear you're a virgin, you have to enjoy life while you're young, I don't like this growing American fad of saving yourself till your married,...
That said .... stay away from the grim north, nothing to see ..... actually from reading a message below, Newcastle is a cool town ...... stay away from the Midlands, Birmighham etc, all border line shanty towns ...... down south, obviously London, and there's a million great places to see, but do try St Katherines Docks, and Wapping, if the weather is ok (sunny at least, but it will be cold) it's just over tower bridge!
Outside of London, Oxford and Cambridge are beautiful places, I studied at the latter, and there's a lot to see .... Bath is nice, Bristol if you're going that far, en route you can see stone henge in Wiltshie ..... Kent is pretty too, Tonbridge wells, canterbury etc, quite historic places down there.....
You'll have a good time...... feel free to email: gooner_jim@yahoo.co.uk, and I'll help you out when you're in London .... |

Ignore the prat on the first answer (he's probably not even British) if you have a chance try to visit Scotland, I know the weather is crap, but the scenery, especially up in the Highlands is breath-taking, wrap up well. If you like shopping there's Edinburgh and Glasgow, the west coast is also lovely. The locals are very friendly. If you don't make it up that far then the Lake District is also breath-taking. |
